Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw has held an emergency meeting with principals of private schools.
This after learning that some private schools intended to open today.
This is despite Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley’s announcement yesterday about the closure of schools today and tomorrow.
Dr. Archer Bradshaw in a statement is, however, making it clear all schools, public and private, will remain closed today Tuesday.
She says this is to allow for damage assessments to occur, and for staff, parents and students to address any challenges experienced due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
The Education Chief adds principals of private schools will be updated on the resumption of classes in due course.
