Martin Jones is counting his blessings as his damaged fibre glass boat Salacia is now sea-worthy again.
His boat was damaged during the passage of Hurricane Beryl earlier this month.
Following repairs Mr. Jones has been able to catch a variety of fish including amberfish, dolphin, swordfish and billfish.
Mr. Jones thanked the Barbados Coast Guard for assisting the fishing industry while adding that he expects to be back on the ocean by the weekend.
Well-known vendor Sharon Bellamy-Thompson says today’s catch will last until about Monday, and says there will be an increase in prices.
She says she expects the crowd to return to the fish markets.
