A timeline has been shared for the completion of major upgrades to the Bridgetown Sewage Plant.
Government has previously revealed plans to upgrade the plant to a tertiary facility, to reuse much of the treated wastewater currently released out to sea.
Speaking during a Barbados Labour Party City of Bridgetown Branch Meeting, Deputy Prime Minister, Santia Bradshaw, provided more details about the process.
She said the plans have also considered improved drainage to minimise flooding in nearby communities.
Minister Bradshaw, who is the Minister of Transport and Works, also revealed that even more roads have been earmarked for repairs in the coming weeks.
She says the list of roads to be done is based on those highlighted by citizens on social media.
