Loneliness and poverty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic are among the factors driving young people to commit suicide.
This is according to Emily Lewis of Black Mentors & IFM Therapeutic Counseling in Great Britain.
Ms. Lewis was a guest on the Morning Report on this World Suicide Prevention Day.
Ms. Lewis and Barbadian Reuben Walrond will be part of this evening’s CBC panel discussion which will address the silent epidemic of suicide ideations among Barbadian youth.
