Barbados’ economy is expected to surpass the region’s growth outlook this year by more than 7%.
That’s according to the World Bank’s latest economic review for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Chief Economist, William Maloney, presented the report during a virtual press conference.
He revealed the local economy is estimated to grow by 10.5% this year and 5% next year, compared to projections for the region which stand at 3% this year and 1.6% for 2023.
