The new 24 hour hotline to help people struggling with mental health and suicidal issues has been officially launched.
It’s called Lifeline Barbados and it can be accessed via 536-4500.
Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Davidson Ishmael, says the line which was in operation since February has received over 300 calls to date.
He adds it is being manned by 15 trained personnel.
Mr. Ishmael believes the helpline will strengthen the response given the demand for mental health services in the post COVID-19 period.
