One of Barbados’ newest secondary schools is celebrating its silver jubilee.
It’s the Lester Vaughan School, which was officially opened on October 7th, 1997.
At the time it was called the St. Thomas Secondary School, but was renamed in honour of the author of the National Pledge in 1999.
Principal Anthony Alleyne told CBC’s Mornin’ Barbados several initiatives are planned to mark the milestone.
