With the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup drawing near, Government has brought legislation that will make provision for the efficient and effective staging of 2024 games.
Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Dale Marshall, in moving the ICC Cricket World Cup West Indies 2024 Bill says other host countries will be doing the same.
During the period, Cricket West Indies will have unrestricted control of stadia during matches.
These include Kensington Oval, the grounds at the University of the West Indies, Weymouth and Windwards.
According to Mr. Marshall, the Bill is sunset legislation.
He says there were some provisions that worked during the 2007 Cricket World Cup that remain in practice today.
