Apparently baffled by how some accidents actually occur after analysis, the Barbados Road Safety Association (BRSA) has laid blame on a lack of attention by motorists.
It says drivers are either paying attention to their cellular phones or generally not concentrating on driving.
Public Relations Office Erskine Cumberbatch says the practice is evident daily, especially when traffic is slow.
Mr. Cumberbatch was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
The road safety association has been working in partnership with other entities, including the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation and Cooperators General Insurance Limited to push the message of road safety.
BRSA’s President Roland Lowe shared concern about the practice of allowing children to stand in vehicles.
