Ireland’s Ambassador to Barbados, Geraldine Byrne Nason says her country remains a partner for small island states and has been working closely with countries like Barbados in several spheres.
The Ambassador, who was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados, says the opening of the Barbados Embassy in Ireland marks a step up in the growing relationship between the two countries.
She’s on the island to pay homage to the Irish Legacy, which has been captured in an exhibition titled, Entangled Islands: Ireland and the Caribbean at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society.
It delves into the deep and complex historical connections between Ireland and the Caribbean.
