The Ministry of Agriculture has embarked on a number of initiatives to drive down the cost of the agricultural aspect of Barbados’ food import bill.
The figure hovered around 233 million dollars last year.
Speaking during a ceremony for World Food Day, which is observed on October 16th, Chief Agriculture Officer Keely Holder outlined some of the measures being taken to reduce the bill.
