Good news tonight for Christmas travel.
Surinam Airways will be starting a twice weekly service from Barbados to Guyana in December.
The revelation came from Special Envoy to Guyana and Suriname Alphea Wiggins at the end of a high-level meeting with a delegation from Suriname and the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation.
The envoy said it fits in with government’s Georgetown Initiative and the strengthening of CARICOM and regional travel.
Trevor Thorpe reports.
