Face-to-face classes will be held at Christ Church Foundation School from tomorrow.
A final inspection was made today by a Ministry- led team, which included, members of the school’s Board of Management, the Principal and members of the teachers’ Unions.
They examined the completeness of work conducted and the cleanliness of those areas.
At the conclusion of the inspection, all parties agreed to return to the classroom.
Meanwhile, The Grantley Adams Memorial will engage in online school tomorrow
A visit there today by officials revealed a noxious odour which forced the early closure of the school on Thursday, September 19. Tests are being done to identify the source of that odour.
A full statement from the Ministry of Education follows:
“The Christ Church Foundation School has been approved to open for face-to-face classes from Monday, September 23, 2024. A final inspection was made on Sunday September 22, by a Ministry-led team, which included, members of the school’s Board of Management, the Principal and members of the teachers’ Unions, who examined the completeness of work conducted and the cleanliness of those areas. “At the conclusion of the inspection, all parties agreed that in-person classes would take place from tomorrow.
“The Grantley Adams Memorial however, will engage in online school from Monday, September 23 – Friday, September 27 2024. A visit to the school on Sunday revealed that the noxious order which forced the early closure of school on Thursday September 19, was still very present. Tests have since been ordered to uncover the source of the odor. During this time, students and teachers will use the online modality to avoid any learning loss, and the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational training will continue monitoring the situation, and provide an update on any developments.”
