Co-operatives played a major role over the years in solving a problem which many poor people had, that of financial inclusivity.
That assertion from Professor Justin Robinson, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the UWI Five Islands Campus.
He was delivering the City of Bridgetown Winston Alleyne lecture on “The Role of Co-operatives and Credit Unions in a Republican Barbados in the Third Decade of the 21st Century – Now and the Future”.
