Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says the second International Monetary Fund programme her administration is entering into is focused on growth and continuing reforms on the fiscal side.
She says the island has been unable to complete these reforms because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Prime Minister made the comments during Debate on a Resolution on the Barbados Economic Recovery Transformation (BERT) Plan 2022 saying the excess debt was choking Barbados.
