The eye of Hurricane Beryl is passing south of Barbados.
Beryl, now a strong category 3 hurricane, has maximum sustained winds of 120 MPH (195 Km/h).
At 5:00 a.m. the eye was located near 11.7N 59.9W or about 130 km (110 miles) south of Barbados.
Feeder bands of Hurricane Beryl will continue to bring storm-force winds of 40 to 50 mph across the island into the late morning.
The system continues to move westward at 20 MPH (31 km/h) with a minimum central pressure of 965mb. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 45 km (30 miles) from the centre and tropical storm-force winds extend outward up to 185 km (115 miles).
