Hotel opening soon

The Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle Resort & Spa is expected to officially open its doors to its first guests in less than two weeks.

According to the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. the first guests will be welcomed on October 12 and will include participants of the 8th Annual Barbados Jazz Excursion.

That first cohort is expected to occupy up to 125 rooms in the new resort.

According to the BTII, the Excursion will feature a number of first-class concerts utilising the resort’s state of the art conference room, which is one of the largest hotel conference centres in the Eastern Caribbean.

Officials say this opens Barbados to the MICE market (Meetings, Incentive, Conference and Events) for large groups, where the participants can stay in the resort.

The BTII says there has already been much interest surrounding the hotel and its conference centre which is already booked for a number of functions this coming November and December.
