Despite the high demand for spaces, it will be pretty much impossible for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to accommodate more medical interns each year.
Honorary Consultant and Internship Coordinator, Dr. Clyde Cave says the facility has been offering spaces to 36 interns.
However, he adds it is capped at that figure to maintain the quality of the programme.
Acknowledging the competitive nature of the programme, Dr. Cave shared this advice with aspiring doctors and prospective applicants.
