As public opinion continues to swirl over journalist David Ellis’ taking up the post of COVID-19 Public Advisor, the tough-talking broadcaster is putting up a resolute defence against the memes.
Today on CBC TV8’s Face It and Fix It, Mr. Ellis made it clear that he is no one’s dog.
He says he recognises that his acceptance of the post has left people with grief and anger but it led him to the realisation of how many people respect him.
Making reference to a meme which went viral on social media, he says he is not hurt by the negatives.
The veteran broadcaster made it clear that he will maintain his integrity in how he performs his new role, as he has always done.
