One local scientist believes once the health protocols for mpox are followed, Barbados and other countries can avoid major fallout from the disease.
Director of the Centre for Biosecurity Studies at the UWI Dr. Kirk Douglas says not only humans are contracting it but pets as well, and that’s why the level has been raised to Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
