The Ministry of Health’s Vector Control Unit, will concentrate its mosquito eradication efforts in the parish of St. Peter next week.
Beginning on Monday, August 23rd, fogging will be conducted at Clarke Road, Carbon Road, Greaves Road, Reservoir Road, Millionaire Road, The Whim, Olton Road, Douglas Development, Tom Bend Road, Valencia Drive and surrounding areas.
The team will travel to Mile-and-a-Quarter, Maynards, Valley View, Maynards Ridge, Convent Drive, Sunset Heights, Coral Cliff, Leslie Garden, Maynards Housing Development, Rose Hill, Hope Land, Skeete Road, Rose Hill, Benn Hill Woods, on Tuesday, August 24th.
On Wednesday, August 25th, it will be the turn of Pleasant Hall, All Saints, Mount Brevitor, Vuemont, Apple Grove, French Village, Indian Ground, Lonesome Hill, Four Hill Development and neighbouring districts.
The areas to be sprayed on Thursday, August 26th include Round The Town, Niles Road, Miller Road, Burma Road, Farm Road, Farm Tenantry, Road View, Cemetery Lane, Sweet Home Road, Mullins Terrace, and Crescent Drive.
The team is also scheduled to visit the following districts on Friday, August 27th: Speightstown, Archers Lane, Bovell Road, Major Walk, Heywoods Estate, Central Drive, Church Street, Garden Road, Golden Mile Road and surrounding areas.
Fogging will be conducted from 4:30 until 8:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.
The public is reminded that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Vector Control Unit. In such circumstances, it will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
