A woman is nursing injuries after a tree fell onto her vehicle this morning.
Police received reports of a tree along Black Rock Main Road, St. Michael, in the area of the old KFC building, falling onto a passing motor car around 10:40 a.m.
The female driver of that car, who was the vehicle’s sole occupant, received minor injuries. She is being treated by ambulance personnel.
The Barbados Police Service further noted that the roadway is currently impassable from all directions. Police officers are redirecting traffic and are therefore asking all motorists to avoid the area if possible. They are also urging the public to be “patient as we try to rectify the situation with the assistance of the appropriate personnel/Government departments.”
