The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is advising patients who have prescriptions due within a week, to get them refilled as soon as possible.
This as Barbados braces for potentially adverse weather.
To facilitate the filling of prescriptions, the Pharmacy will extend its opening hours tomorrow, Saturday, June 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will also be open on Sunday, June 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Those patients who have already placed orders through the Medication Delivery Service, will have their medication delivered over the weekend.
Patients are advised to ensure they have an adequate supply of medication in the event of the passage of adverse weather.
For further information, members of the public may call the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS/Help Desk) at 536-4800 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (regular or WhatsApp calls).
