A major step in enabling more Barbadians to become financially literate has been taken.
It comes with the launch of the National Financial Literacy Expansion Programme, which is being taken into the schools.
Consultant Project Co-Ordinator Corey Worrell says six primary and six secondary schools will be the initial beneficiaries.
Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Sandra Husbands says the intention is to leave no citizen in poverty and the school component is vital.
She explains what the programme is expected to do.
Minister Husbands also outlined some of the areas the course will cover.
