Efforts to create more facilities for the elderly

In a bid to create more facilities for the elderly, Government will be refurbishing the building at Sterling, St Philip.

This from Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey, who was speaking as the Lower House considered a resolution on the 2023 to 2028 National Policy on Ageing.

Already, Government has allocated $7 million to the Ministry for the Elderly.

Mr. Humphrey adds at the rate at which the aged population is increasing, it’s clear more facilities catering to the elderly are needed.
