A cyber security consultant is warning that a cyber attack on any organisation can have major implications for citizens.
David Gittens says while greater focus may be placed on financial institutions, entities such as schools must also be on guard.
Mr. Gittens was a guest on The People’s Business programme last night, which looked at mitigating the risks of cybercrime.
He used the example of the Colonial Pipeline Hack in the US, where hackers were trying to get money but crippled the system and cut off gas supplies, affecting people’s ability to fuel their vehicles.
