The Barbados Fire Service is introducing drone technology as it continues to modernise its operations.
Word of this from Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams, who notes that the acquisition should be completed within the coming weeks.
He was speaking at a church service to start Fire Service Week at the Bethel Methodist Church in Bay Street.
The Home Affairs Minister also says monies have been allocated to acquire equipment to help build out the modern vision for the service.
