Decision pending on reopening of Foundation School

It is not yet known when face-to-face classes will resume at Christ Church Foundation School.

Deputy Chief Education Officer Julia Beckles says the return to physical classes has been put on hold until industrial cleaning and minor works are completed.

She made the disclosure Friday evening following a tour of the institution with heads of the teachers unions, the school’s board of management and other officials.

Christ Church Foundation did not open on Monday when the new school year commenced to allow for repairs to be completed.

Ms. Beckles says all efforts are being made to ensure the plant is fit for purpose.
