The deceased in the freak accident which occurred at Thornbury Hill, Christ Church today has been formally identified.
Police say he is 38 year old Jamal Omar Beckles of Miller’s Land, near Massiah Street, St. John.
Beckles was reportedly lying under a vehicle, carrying out repairs on it around 2:00 p.m., when it collapsed on him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
