Some thirty people who live in Christ Church East will form the first group that gets another opportunity to qualify themselves with Caribbean Examination Council Certificates.
Entitled ‘CXC Second Chance Programme’ it will cater to those in the constituency who left school without any academic qualifications.
It was launched last evening at the St. Christopher primary school.
Educator Stephanie Chase conceptualised and put together the programme.
Member of Parliament for Christ Church East, Home Affairs Minister, Wilfred Abrahams shared that the programme is costing about thirty thousand dollars.
The funding is coming from the Hopewell Charity and other donors.
There is no age limit for people wishing to enter the programme and Minister Abrahams urged those taking part to make full use of the opportunity and do well so others can benefit.
