The Upper House has been debating the Constitutional Amendment Bill, which seeks to include 18 year olds in the Houses of Parliament and to have the ability to select Opposition Senators in the absence of an Opposition Leader.
In leading off the Debate, Leader of Government Business Senator Lisa Cummins said it was critical young people in Barbados have a say in crafting their future.
She made the comparison to Brexit where the youth were left out.
