Thousands of students return to school today, for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Term One will run for 13 weeks ending for students on Thursday, December 14th and for teachers, the following day.
Amid concerns about the obesity statistics among children, the Barbados Childhood Obesity Prevention Coalition is advocating for greater options to get young people moving.
The group’s new Chairperson, Professor Anne St. John was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
She says while the National Nutrition Policy stipulates students should have a period and a half for physical activity each week, that’s not enough.
