It’s now mandatory for local coaches to be trained about how to interact with the young people in their care.
Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Charles Griffith spoke about the need for the safeguarding course at a St. Michael West branch meeting.
He says in the past he has also raised concerns about the need to have paedophiles registered.
