There will be several changes to the Cabinet come Monday, January 8.
A former ambassador has been named as a new minister and a former minister reassigned, as Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley announced a Cabinet reshuffle on Saturday.
Chad Blackman has been invited back home to serve as the new Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment.
Marsha Caddle, the Member of Parliament for St Michael South Central was named as the new Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology.
Prime Minister Mottley made the announcement in a wide-ranging Address to the Nation.
Minor adjustments to ministerial portfolios were also announced.
Regarding the Senate, Mr Blackman will be appointed a Senator and will replace Lorenzo Harewood and Reverend Charles Morris will replace Shanika Roberts-Odle.
Ms Mottley also outlined changes to several diplomatic postings.
