CCRIF SPC committed to assisting member countries

Days into the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, the CCRIF SPC, formerly the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility, has committed to assisting Barbados and other member countries.

This was signalled by its Chief Executive Officer Isaac Anthony who was participating in the ‘Resilience Dialogue – Reflecting on 20 years Post Hurricane Ivan – A Time Capsule’ event.

Executive Director of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency, CDEMA, Elizabeth Riley revealed post Hurricane Ivan, elements of the regional response mechanism were revisited.
