In doing so, Canada joins with other international lenders like the World Bank, which has agreed to insert climate clauses in its new loan agreements with countries.
The Bridgetown Initiative, a set of recommendations on debt relief and climate change promoted by Barbados, calls for such climate clauses.
Meanwhile, during a meeting on regional security, it was announced that Canada is to partner with the Barbados-based Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) to facilitate coordination on regional emergency response.

He says in recent times states have seen an explosion in the use of firearms.
Among the areas highlighted through which Canada can assist is with is the training of police officers.
