Regional grouping, CARICOM and the Caribbean Public Health Organisation are reaching out to the youth in Barbados and the Caribbean as part of a campaign warning of the ill effects of tobacco.
Head of Chronic Disease and Injury at CARPHA, Dr. Heather Armstrong called attention to the age of introduction and the impact tobacco use will have on the user in the future.
She was among the panel for a webinar on World No Tobacco Day observed Friday.
It was held under the theme, ‘Youth Step In and Speak Out’.
