A leading charitable organisation wants to see more support given to youth to ensure they have reason to stay on a positive track while staying clear of crime and violence.
This was the sentiment of Project Coordinator of the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust, Nekei Grant.
She is calling for Barbadians to get involved in the lives of the youth and be champions of change in this Barbadian society.
Ms. Grant made the remark as she presented a monetary donation to the National Cultural Foundation, during the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust Junior Masquerade Project launch, in association with Abeds, at the Erdiston Special Needs School.
Ms. Grant says as title sponsor, the trust is committed to supporting worthwhile ventures like the junior masquerade project, as well as the youth volunteer programme, which all promote and uplift the youth of Barbados.
