Insurance officials want the problem of people driving uninsured vehicles dealt with.
Chief Executive Officer of Co-operators General Insurance, Anton Lovell, is asking the Barbados Police Service to handle the situation.
He says this is necessary as a new Road Traffic Accident Investigation Policy is expected to come into effect next month.
He was speaking at a press briefing where details about the new policy were unveiled.
Further, Mr. Lovell says insurance companies want to see uninsured vehicles involved in accidents towed away and impounded.
