The Barbados Workers’ Union says it’s reserving a response to Government’s proposal to raise the pensionable age until it has a chance to hear from its members.
In a statement, the Union’s Communications and Information Manager, Cheyne Jones, says the BWU acknowledges nationwide concerns regarding the recent proposal, but he notes the Union prefers informed action, rather than hasty reaction.
According to Mr. Jones, members will get a change to have their say during two upcoming events, the first of which is slated for this evening.
