The Barbados Water Authority is rolling out some measures to alleviate some of the problems its customers are having with muddy water from the Bowmanston Pumping Station.
This was revealed during a news conference.
Director of Engineering Charles Leslie, says they will be making some changes to lessen the hardship of customers served by Bomanston.
A shift in the weather pattern resulting in heavy rainfall over a short period is being blamed for the heavy turbidity.
Technical Advisor to the BWA board, Dr. John Mwansa listed several St. John communities ranging from Clifton Hall to Pool from which the runoff water enters the cave at Bowmanston and impacts the water supply.
The BWA will be creating a special management area to which farmers will be asked to comply.
