BWA sets record straight on circulated video

The Barbados Water Authority is setting the record straight, following a video suggesting sewage was being pumped into the sea.

In the video circulating on social media, a hose can be seen transferring liquid from a well in the Oistin’s Bay Garden Area, into the ocean.

In response, the BWA dispatched its Industrial Waste Inspector, Verrol Ann Scott to investigate the report.

She says the liquid in the video is actually stormwater.
