The Barbados Union of Teachers wants to see a proper national security plan for schools across Barbados.
First Vice President Julian Pierre, who is also Chair of the Health and Safety Committee, says what’s needed is an all hands on deck approach to deal with issues which arise.
He told the Morning Report stakeholders in education should meet to discuss problems, including violence in schools.
Mr. Pierre says the BUT has asked for a security presence at some 40 schools.
