Strong healthy resilient societies can only be achieved by having children who are continuously informed.
So says Communications for Development Specialist at UNICEF Dr. Lisa McClean-Trotman.
She says Barbados has made many gains as it relates to the rights of the child through health education, especially in reducing the use of sugar-sweetened beverages.
Dr. McClean-Trotman made the remark as she delivered the feature address at the launch of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados’ Mass Media Campaign at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
Dr. McClean-Trotman says every child has a right to good health.
According to her not highlighting poor diets contributes to numerous health complications.
