Brian Dorant is the winner of the 9th CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank UWI Student Entrepreneurial Empowerment Development Business Plan Competition.
He got the nod from the judges ahead of four other finalists for his business, Green Haven Farms, following a competitive pitching session.
The computer science student is hoping to apply what he’s learned in the classroom to enhance his sustainable agribusiness.
Director of Corporate Communications at CIBC FirstCaribbean Debra King, says the competition is just an element of its ongoing partnership with the UWI.
