The Barbados Private Sector Association is calling for a national crime strategy, backed by research, to be advanced urgently.
Chairman Dr. Trisha Tannis made the call this afternoon during a press conference.
Noting the BPSA is concerned about the recent crime wave, she says a whole-of-society approach, including criminologists, sociologists, the youth and others, is needed to fully address the matter.
Dr. Tannis adds the BPSA is ready and willing to play its part in the anti-crime fight and it has even been encouraging the wider private sector to get involved in some form or fashion.
