BL&P ready for passage of TS Tammy

The Barbados Light and Power Company says its teams are prepared for the passage of Tropical Storm Tammy.

Speaking to members of the media during a conference call this evening, Managing Director Roger Blackman says they anticipate some impact from both the rain and wind.

He adds their planning and preparation starts well before the start of the hurricane season and continues throughout. He says announcements by the Met Office of impending systems, activate their response process.
