Bicyclist dies after collision

Another person has lost their life on our roads bringing the total number of road fatalities for 2024 to nine.

A bicyclist died in a road traffic collision which occurred around 8:45 a.m. today, along Coles Cave Road, St. Lucy in the vicinity of the Grape Hall Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The accident also involved a motorcar which was travelling on the said road in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.

The bicyclist was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance, he later died while receiving medical treatment.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing
