The state of agriculture in Barbados is expected to occupy the attention of industry officials at the annual general meeting of the Barbados Agricultural Society today.
CBC understands that the importation of heifers and a clarification of the importation of pork and poultry are among the items down for discussion.
The session, which will be addressed by Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir, is also expected to look at the use of agricultural land.
The meeting will be held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre starting at 10:00 a.m.
