Barbados is embarking on a project to document the country’s windmills.
It’s being undertaken to get a better understanding of the island’s contribution to the production of sugar and rum.
Special Advisor on Culture and Cultural Heritage in the Division of Culture in the Prime Minister’s Office, Senator John King says it’s critical to document the use of the windmills.
Assistant Coordinator and Researcher with the National Register of Historical Places, Rhianna Smith explained how the team will conduct its documentation.
